To elaborate on this point, the leadership could note that a lack of accountability, teamwork, and integrity can create conflict among employees, leading to reduced productivity and negatively impacting organizational performance.

True Character

The statement, “Your true character is how you act when no one is looking,” offers a different approach to a person’s character. Notably, a person’s character is the aggregate of all the relatively constant moral qualities a person combines to form their real nature and may consist of values and virtues (Opatha 3). However, a person’s true character may be revealed based on how they act when no one is looking because the true nature of a person is revealed when they do not have to meet the expectations of those around them. For example, a person’s moral compass may be influenced by their audience and the image they want to portray to the audience, thus affecting their constant moral qualities, virtues, and values.
