With an MBA degree I believe I can
Exodus 31:1-16 (NIV). Then the Lord said to Moses, 2 “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, 3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— 4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, 5 to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts. 6 Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him.
At this moment in my life, I begin to imagine how Bezalel felt when Moses called out his name. God specifically called out this man by name and told Moses that He had chosen him to carry out the building plans for the Ark of the Covenant. It is the Lord Himself who had given Bezalel the wisdom and His Spirit to fulfill His purpose. I know for certain that God knew that this day would come when I would complete my MBA through His Spirit and according to His will. That is not only humbling but also amazing to think that the creator of the world would consider me an instrument that He would want to use.
My Bezalel moment has come, and I am set up to use the skills that the Omniscient God has added to me through acquiring new knowledge from my coursework to fulfill His will here on earth. An Ark needs to be beautified, and He has ordained me to do it. The Ark of the Covenant was where the Lord’s glory dwelt and was a reminder to the people of Israel that their God was with them wherever they went. In my career, my one calling is to minister to people in their health and also to their spiritual man. God is still in the purpose of wanting men to know that He is in their midst. The invisible God needs the visible man, such as I, to make all people I encounter know He is in their midst. In this day and age, the Ark of the Covenant is the soul of every man. By reaching out in touching the lives of the many that I will, through my career and programs such as the Walk Group, the many different Arks will be beautified. The gospel of the Kingdom will spread with every life that I beautify with the knowledge of His presence.
Lastly, I am reminded of the four young men who went down to Babylon. The Bible says in Daniel 1:3-4 (NIV) Then the king ordered Ashpenaz, chief of his court officials, to bring into the king’s service some of the Israelites from the royal family and the nobility— 4 young men without any physical defect, handsome, showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king’s palace. He was to teach them the language and literature of the Babylonians. One of the young men, Daniel, became a prominent governor in Babylon, and his three other friends were also given high positions in the Kingdom. Daniel was an administrator and prophet through the lives of three kings. This scripture shows that for the Lord to make a great impact in a place or situation that does not recognize Him as Lord, He needs to raise up and train people who can eventually make His glory known. I know that in the course of my career, I will encounter people who do not know or care to know about a God who loves them. My MBA will open doors for me to meet such people, and when the opportunity comes, like Daniel, I will announce the Lord’s goodness. There are people in our society who are ‘unreachable’ unless one has the necessary connections or status. I believe my MBA will offer me such connections to enable me to reach the ‘unreachable’ and influence them with the gospel of Christ.
God Bless.
