Prevention

Preventing workplace violence is vital because it will reduce the time wasted investigating and resolving it. According to Askarzai and Mohan (2019), preventing workplace violence is a key aspect of Occupational Health and Safety. Therefore, Riezden Corporation is focused on preventing workplace violence at all costs. One of the steps that will be taken to prevent workplace violence at Riezden Corporation is employee training and education. Education and training programs aimed at preventing workplace violence include theoretical knowledge about workplace violence and training on practical skills such as breakaway and de-escalation techniques (Cai et al., 2023). Therefore, all employees at Riezden Corporation will undergo mandatory training on breakaway and de-escalation techniques that can be used to prevent the escalation of violence and how to identify situations that can cause workplace violence. Employees will also receive training on the different types of workplace violence and how to prevent them when interacting with each other in different situations. The second step is hiring security personnel to maintain order within the work environment by removing any employee involved in workplace violence from the work premises and denying them access to the work premises until the issue is sorted out. The company will also embrace a zero-tolerance policy that will include suspension of all employees involved in workplace violence and possible termination of their work contracts based on the damage caused by the violence.

Reporting
