Justification
Increasing revenue requires ensuring that customers’ needs and preferences are met. The company, therefore, needs to identify the most important needs by conducting market research. One of the main things that should be considered in the market research is customer reviews and feedback. The organization can determine whether customers are satisfied with existing products based on their reviews. Customer feedback can also improve the products and ensure that they meet the required standard (Bhatnagar, 2012). The second thing that should be considered is the products and services with higher demand. The organization can then focus on increasing the production of such products and improving those with less demand to attract more customers. The organization also needs to consider reviewing the customer database to determine the areas with the largest customer base to increase the supply of its products in those areas to meet customer demands. Another important operational step in increasing market share is determining improvement areas to meet customer needs. Focusing on improvement areas will enable the company to maintain existing customers and attract more customers. Increasing revenue also includes determining areas of improvement in the production process to reduce lead times and units of waste per production process. The organization, therefore, needs to source renewable raw materials to be used in the production process to reduce waste per production process and reduce production costs. It also needs to reduce lead times by using many distribution networks (Rüttimann, 2017). Another important operational step in improving the production process is providing the expected volume that every production process should yield to ensure that the production process meets customer demands. The organization also needs sales forecasts to anticipate supply needs and improve the fulfilment process. Increasing revenue also relies on having a productive workforce. The main steps that can be used to create a productive workforce are implementing performance management and introducing employee benefits and incentives to reward employees who perform well, creating employee training and development programs, and creating flexible work schedules. The organization also needs to implement technology in the production process to reduce the workload employees are required to handle.
