Topics Covered in the Course
- What is corporate social responsibility: this topic will define the subject of corporate social responsibility.
- Labor practices and corporate social responsibility: this topic will introduce employment practices that managers can institute to create a socially diverse work environment – such as equality practices in the workplace irrespective of age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, and so on.
- Labor laws in the U.S.: this topic will focus on the different pieces of legislation and institutions present in the country and how they apply, including how workers can pursue them to get their grievances addressed, such as the EEOC.
- Environmental Conservation: this topic will address how employees and the organization can be socially responsible by ensuring their decisions conserve the environment and safeguard the well-being of community members.
- Volunteering – this topic will explain why it matters and how staff members must engage in philanthropic and charity activities.
