Module Reflection Essay
The text analysis module significantly contributed to my writing process. I learned various lessons, including selecting a reliable text, analyzing the text, and writing processes from drafting to revision; these lessons will aid my writing. To succeed in this module, I need to modify various reading and writing strategies, including reading texts styles, to comprehend the article’s contexts, audience, and purpose. Once this strategy is modified, it will be easy for me to identify rhetoric strategies applied and fallacies used, generating ideas for my writing. The other strategy involves writing strategies that I need to modify, including text summarizing, drafting, writing, revising, and proofreading, to write to the best of my capabilities.
In this module, I will apply various strategies to manage my time to complete my tasks and assignments on time. I will begin tackling my assignments earlier to provide ample time for me to revise and proofread my assignments before submitting them on time. Based on my readings and instructor feedback, I possess strengths in grasping and internalizing authors’ arguments for writing and writing formatting; helpful in summarizing texts and formatting essays. In this module, the biggest things I need to improve are my article selection strategies and description and evaluation strategies for sources; accomplishable by revisiting readings and other resources to guide the best approaches to sources.
After reading through all the assignments in this module, I came up with various questions. “What is the goal of annotated bibliographies?” and “what are the different types of annotations, and when do they apply in annotated bibliographies?” (Bullock et al. 194). Accordingly, in this module, I am excited to continue building on my writing skills and build on the writing areas where my skills fall short. Therefore, I look forward to submitting excellent work in this module.
