The business management program will help me gain access to various artifacts and samples that I can use to understand key aspects of business management and their application in my career as a cybersecurity expert. The samples and artifacts of my best work throughout the business management program will also help me create a convincing portfolio that I can use to showcase my understanding of business management concepts to potential employers. I can also use the artifacts and samples to convince investors that I have a good understanding of business management to get funding when I start my business as a cybersecurity consultant. I also intend to use my portfolio to move toward my career positions in life in various ways. One of them is using the portfolio to draw connections between business management and cybersecurity and develop the skills and expertise I need to integrate cybersecurity in business management in the modern workplace. Subsequently, this would help me in becoming competitive in the job market and increase my chances of getting a good job in IT management.
I will also use my portfolio to showcase my best work to potential employers who can offer me a position that will kick-start my career journey as a cybersecurity consultant. I will also use my portfolio to identify my strengths and weaknesses that impact my career journey and, thus, seek assistance on how I can eliminate weaknesses and enhance the strengths for my career development. I will also use the portfolio to grow my network by sharing it with my classmates and colleagues in the IT sector. I can then use these networks to identify job opportunities that I can use to develop my career in IT security and learn more about the trends in cybersecurity that could impact my career.
