Functional Level Strategies
Identify which management tactics and strategies you will implement to meet your strategic goals for each stakeholder, department, or business function impacted by your plan: MBO, MBM, single-use or standing plans, competitive advantage, contingency planning, building scenarios, crisis planning, and innovation.
Management by Mission (MBM) will be the strategy used in achieving the changes in Coca-Cola. The MBM aims not to achieve higher goals yearly but to ensure that the company’s mission is executed more effectively and efficiently. At every level of change, the company’s mission will drive the objectives to be achieved. That said, the goals and the mission are mutually dependent. A task without a purpose is unachievable, while the reverse is also true (Rothaermel, 2016).
Coca-Cola’s Mission: To refresh the world. To inspire moments of optimism and happiness. To create value and make a difference.

Explain how you will apply managerial decision-making methods throughout your action plan.
The seven steps method for effective decision-making will be used in the application of decisions in executing the action plan. These seven steps include identifying the decision, gathering relevant information, identifying the alternatives, weighing the evidence, choosing other options, taking action, and reviewing the decisions (Ejimabo, 2015).
Which business functions will be impacted by your action plan? What tactics will you use to manage implementation across business functions? What can you do to enhance collaboration/cross-functionality to ensure the success of your project?
The action plan will target the CRM department, Marketing department, CSR, Factory workforce, and Finance departments. As stated earlier, the MBM strategy will be used where the company mission will drive the achievement of objectives. Communication and, specifically, feedback are The main tactics to ensure that the action plan is implemented (Baker et al., 2013). The change manager will talk to the involved staff daily. Consistency of behavior is critical, so the manager will call in every team leader and ask for daily updates on the progress of the action plan and the next steps each team leader is taking. Tracking progress daily will ensure that no department lags behind and that any challenges are resolved in the shortest time possible. Communication will also be used to enhance cross-functionality. The team leaders will meet twice a week and communicate via an online platform created by the company’s IT team. Consistent communication will ensure that the different departments are in step with each other.
Identify leadership strategies you plan to implement throughout the execution of your action plan. In particular, explain which techniques you would implement to foster team collaboration among the multiple stakeholders who must collaborate to implement the project successfully. Why do you think these will be successful?
Five leadership strategies will be implemented in the plan (Battilana et al., 2010). The first will be communicating the vision and mission. This will be done every day until it is ingrained in the employees’ visual minds. The image will paint the organization’s future. This will help in achieving set goals. The mission will help the employees to work while knowing in the back of their minds that the ultimate goal is customer satisfaction. The second will be encouraging recognition because employees want to feel that the company appreciates their efforts in implementing the change. This will instill a sense of engagement and commitment. The third will be speaking from the heart, where the project manager will focus on the passion for change rather than the need for the company to make profits and restrain the budget. Staff engaged in the shift will readily recognize from the project manager’s speech whether such a manager is driven passionately by the desire to fulfill the mission or by budget. The fourth will be delegating and empowering staff. Empowering staff with greater responsibility will result in a sense of worth for being entrusted with such obligations. Empowering employees requires training and coaching to ensure they get the job right. Lastly, a commitment to continued education and growth will be fostered. The team leaders will go through a continuous growth and training process to polish their skills. They will also be expected to mentor those they lead to ensure continuity. These five steps will be practical because they will engage every staff in the change process, ensure continuity, encourage innovation and productivity, improve performance, enhance commitment, and provide all persons are on board regarding the mission’s fulfillment.
