The second element necessary for innovation to occur is conflict. I – Global Intelligence for Digital Leaders (2016a) argues that conflict creates a competition of ideas, leading to the generation of many ideas that can be considered to promote innovation. I – Global Intelligence for Digital Leaders (2016b) argues that innovation is more inclined towards channeling diversity and intelligence in an organization. I agree with Linda because innovative ideas are mainly generated if the people within the organization have different opinions and approaches toward situations. The differences in opinions and approaches arise from diversity, including age, gender, and ethnic diversity. Employees also use their experience and understanding of how operations are managed within the organization to determine the most appropriate innovative ideas to implement that channel the organization-wide intelligence.
