Effective communication is essential as far as the success of law enforcement agencies is concerned. At the early Age, the British system influenced the police system of America, and people influenced the law in their communities (Deflem, 2014). They volunteered to patrol at night and communicated via alarms, gestures, etc. They traveled a lot, and law enforcement sometimes had difficulty acting upon intelligence due to its lateness. With time, communication technologies were developed, such as public safety software tailored to streamline and enhance communication in law enforcement agencies to make all communication elements more efficient and accessible. The advancements upheld the police reputation, but communication technologies like body cameras and in-car videos are sometimes controversial concerning individual privacy. They have altered how the public views police work and how the police view their duties.
