What qualifications do you need to take the certification?
To qualify for the examination, the applicant must have five years of experience, which is verifiable in the infosec field. The applicant is also expected to have expertise in infosec management, which should not be under three years. The incidents should cover three or more areas in CISM content areas. The incidents should precede the application date by ten years from the date of application and five years from the date of excelling in the examination.
What is the importance of this certification to the field of computer forensics?
The certification equips the applicant with knowledge on how to conduct cyber-crimes and computer threats. The learner learns to investigate and manage a case’s computer forensics aspects.

The worldwide spread of computers and internet use has led to an increase in demand for digital investigators. Lawyers, private investigators, and law enforcement agents are searching for computer forensics to help investigate civil and criminal cases. It is an indication of a professional gap that I am willing to fill in.
How would this certification benefit you in your work? What IT certifications do you currently have, if any? Why did you choose these certifications?
There are various benefits of this certification in my profession. There are chances that it will increase my employment forecasts (Johnston, 2009). It will enable me to expand my knowledge and demonstrate continuous improvement. It will also increase my value in my profession. I have no IT certifications yet, but I intend to study Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE). This certification will help me improve my capability to figure out innovation cloud and on-premises resolutions.
Are there any digital investigation or security certifications you are aware of that would not benefit an employee’s career? Why?
There is no specific certification that I think is not worth in an employee’s career. However, I believe software technology evolves very fast, and the knowledge that a person may learn today will be unimportant in a short period.
