There are various ways in which communication skills through email, presentation, and report writing can be improved. First, it is important to know the audience that is being addressed by either of the mentioned communication forms. Knowing who is being targeted by the message helps to tailor the message specifically to the need of the audience and thus be more effective (Camm et al., 2021). Second, communication skills through email, presentation, and report writing can be improved when the communication is concise and clear. Notably, this means that the message is kept simple and straight to the point. This can be achieved by using simple, understandable language and avoiding jargon. Third, communication skills used in email and report writing can be improved using appropriate formatting. Proper formatting means that the message being delivered may bear the intended meaning (Filiz, 2020). Considering the three communication formats, I find the presentation more challenging than email communication and report writing. Notably, this is so because I struggle with public speaking, stage fright, and organizing thoughts coherently. Presentation is also more challenging because people might confront the presenter with questions about what is being presented (Al Jahromi, 2020). Therefore, if the presenter is not sure or well prepared for the presentation, the delivery of the intended message may be affected. Further, presentation requires more skills as compared to email and report writing. For the other two communication formats, I use them efficiently because I am fine with grammar, tone, and sentence structure. However, using email communication is the least difficult to use. Notably, this is so because it has a straightforward format that can be applied to all forms of email communication (Philip, 2020). Overall, the difficulty experienced in using each of the methods varies based on personal strengths and weaknesses.
