On the other hand, King feels that Sampson should get involved in managing landscaping and maintenance divisions. However, Sampson enjoys working in the retail section. The staff members are disgruntled about each other’s roles and performance, and this takes a toll on their productivity.

One of the issues that could be improved is the facilitation of open communication within the organization. Overcommunication clears uncertainties, especially during times of change. One should consider stakeholder involvement and communication while applying the DMAIC model to organizational problems. For instance, in the case of Garden Depot, employees will provide crucial feedback about their colleagues’ performance and express where they feel they can work best. Also, data analysis is crucial in quantifying problems as part of the DMAIC process (Carroll, 2013. To that end, there will be a need to acquire new data analysis software to facilitate the process.

Implementing DMAIC
