Therefore, Apple Inc. should consider introducing a product line including different interactive games that can be customized based on customer preferences. Apple Inc. has the technology and innovative capacity to create the games due to its legacy of producing innovative products that compete favorably in the technological industry. The games will be customized using virtual reality and cloud gaming. According to Han (2022), virtual reality includes replacing the real world with a synthetic world. The games will be designed to create different worlds based on the experience a user wants, such as warzones and jungles. Based on customer recommendations and competitors’ offerings, more synthetic worlds can be added. The games will be installed on Apple phones and laptops and compatible with other phone and laptop brands to increase customer reach. Cloud gaming can be applied to connect gamers in different regions, thus making the games exciting and interactive.

The new product line fits into the firm’s innovative strategy because it requires the implementation of new technologies and creative ideas to ensure that the games are unique and can compete favorably in the gaming industry. The product line also aligns with the firm’s strategy of enhancing customer experience. The games’ features will enhance customer experience by creating an interactive gaming experience and connecting gamers in different regions through cloud gaming. The product line also decreases Apple Inc.’s dependence on iPhone sales, which is part of its business strategy to transition from reliance on iPhones to prioritizing other products and services. The product line fits into the firm’s new mission because it considers customer needs, experiences, and preferences to ensure the games are strong enough to compete in the competitive gaming industry.

According to Meyer (2022), Apple Inc.’s hierarchical organizational structure has different divisional characteristics and collaboration among other divisions. The chief executive officer is at the top of the hierarchy. Below the chief executive officer are the senior vice president, chief design officer, chief operating officer, and vice presidents, who directly report to the chief executive officer. The new organizational structure will eliminate the hierarchy to create more employee autonomy for increased innovativeness. The structure is improved by removing the weak functional matrix in the current structure. The new structure will ensure that authority and control are equally distributed among project heads and that employees participate in decision-making. It will also facilitate faster access to the resources needed to implement creative ideas, leading to the invention of new products and services that can increase Apple Inc.’s competitive advantage in telecommunications. One of Apple Inc.’s short-term goals is to offer customers high-quality services. Another short-term goal is to increase sales by opening more branches worldwide, launching new products, using innovative marketing tactics, and streamlining production. The company focuses on participating in markets where it can contribute to achieving these goals (Aljafari, 2016). One of Apple Inc.’s long-term goals is to design and create its hardware, operating system, services, and application software. According to Aljafari (2016), the company believes it should own and control the primary technologies behind its products. The second long-term goal is to offer the best user experiences to consumers through state-of-the-art technologies and products. The company promotes innovation among employees to increase innovation to achieve this goal.
