Leadership Transparency Thought to build Trust

Leadership Transparency Thought to Build Trust

Good leadership involves several traits, such as communication, influence, honesty, transparency, and more. Transparency is important in leadership because it involves leaders being open and honest to themselves and their team as they share communication freely. Organizations that practice transparency are likely to be more successful (2022) as the employees and team members get to share ideas. In addition, according to (Edú-Valsania, Moriano & Molero, 2016), when a leader is transparent, the employees have the courage to share knowledge.

Leadership transparency builds trust in various ways. In any workplace, when employees are not keeping secrets from the higher-ups and vice versa, it builds trust. Therefore, in case of any problem, such as sexual harassment, the employees feel comfortable and safe reporting to the leaders. Secondly, when leaders trust their workers, they trust them by believing they will do their work correctly and in the best way possible. In addition, transparency among employees is very important due to the trust it carries. Employees trust that others from different departments can do their jobs perfectly (2022).

I agree that leadership transparency builds trust within organizations and country leadership. When leaders are transparent and honest, they get the employees to trust them no matter how bad or good the situation might be, and they can all work together to yield great results. In addition, when national presidents and kings are transparent, the citizens trust them, leading to a well-led and maintained Nation.

An example of a good transparent leader is Kulveer Taggar, the CEO and Co-founder of Zeus Living. When Tagger was going through a dire situation, he shared it with the whole team. The startup specializes in quality housing for people who travel for business purposes, but with the COVID-19 pandemic, they came up with a solution to accommodate remote workers. In conclusion, leadership transparency is a very important role for every leader and helps improve the growth of organizations independently.
