Argument Essay-Reflections and Goals
In the last module, I learned about an annotated bibliography, its meaning, and how to write it. As I venture into this new module, I would like to remember the scope of the annotated bibliography that can be used to create an argument. As I turn the size of my annotated bibliography into my argument essay, I want to address my topic from two perspectives, thereby creating an argument essay. In creating two views, I will elaborate on them so that all the essay readers will identify my position on social media and free speech.
I will need to modify various strategies and writing habits in this unit. Some techniques I need to change include researching, prewriting, and proofreading. Analyzing will help me find reliable and resourceful sources. In addition, prewriting will help me put my ideas into words that can be developed into essays, and proofreading will help me recognize and eliminate any errors in my final draft essays. In this module, I will use different strategies to manage my time and complete assignments on time. I will research and draft my work in advance to get time to revise it before submission. Based on my reading and instructor feedback, I have strengths as a writer in making my position apparent through clear and logical language. In this module, I need to work on maintaining the context of my essays and establishing compelling arguments (Persing and Ng 543). I will establish context by sticking to my topic and making persuasive arguments using reliable texts (Bullock et al. 238). After reading my assignments in this module, I do not have a specific question to ask, but I am excited to learn more information. Therefore, I look forward to boosting my writing skills by crafting excellent argument essays in this module.
