Website Summary – National Association for State Directors of Special Education

Website Summary – National Association for State Directors of Special Education

The site is about the National Association of State Directors of Special Education (NASDSE). This is the lineal offspring of State Directors and Supervisors of Special Education. It began on 26th September 1938 when 15 best special education employees from 13 State Education departments gathered in the Washington DC education office (Home NASDSE). Its vision and mission are “to improve people and company success for special education state leaders by offering applicable services that guide and direct positive methodical transformation and outcomes, thereby ensuring learners with disabilities will learn, live, participate and work in their communities as excepted”  (Home NASDSE).

I like the NASDSE site because it is fast to open, and the information is arranged in sections with inspiring pictures of children, making the site more likable. Most importantly, I loved how the site explains who they are and what they do. They have done it in a precise and easy-to-understand language, which is very encouraging. Secondly, the site is easy to use because it is divided into nine sections, which categorically direct one to search for the information they require from the site. These sections include Home, About, Government Relations, Projects, Services, Resources, Members Area, Member Highlights, and Events (Home NASDSE). These nine sections are detailed and make it easy to get information about early childhood education workers because, for example, the segment project forum highlights the organization’s relations to IDEA. More specifically, it has varied information about special and charter schools and the Center for IDEA early childhood data systems, which are important places to get enough information about early childhood education. Generally, the site was great, educative, and likable because it was effectively designed to direct any user to search for the information needed quickly and easily.
