The basis of Watson’s Theory of Caring is that people cannot be considered as objects and that humans cannot be isolated from self, others, nature, and the greater workforce. This implies that Watson’s theory was established in the criteria of metaparadigm of nursing because it provides the components of caring as a nurse and focuses on upholding nursing as a profession and improving its image, and centralizes nursing care in the patient or client wellness.
