Nurses can influence prescription drug pricing by writing to the U.S. House of Representatives, requesting them to substantially lower the costs of drugs (Mardani & Griffiths, 2019). Nurses often witness patients’ devastation when charged exorbitant prices to access drugs. This makes it difficult for most patients to fill their prescriptions. Some resort to taking lesser dosages than the recommended. This can lead to irreparable health issues or even death. That is why registered nurses come together to advocate for a substantial decrease in the cost of drugs.
