The Impact of Newly Devised Drivers Licenses on Security and Identification

The Impact of Newly Devised Drivers Licenses on Security and Identification

The newly devised driving license creates strict measures on the manner in which the acquisition of the driving license takes place. It contains all the names that are needed to know about the holder. Aspects such as gender, residential address, birth date, full legal name, signature, digital front-facing photograph, and card identification are essential in the new card. The IDs are meant to improve a much easier process of identification. In my opinion, it is a perfect idea to introduce the ID because it would enhance security and lead to the introduction of fewer protocols involved in the identification process (Castile, 2017). I am in support of the ideal because it would lead to the creation of a preferable practice that would appeal to the public and security individuals in terms of scrutiny. In case people have similar names, it would create some complications in the integrated systems. The issue could be best avoided by creating different identification numbers.

“Security Comparison” Please respond to the following:
Compare the level of security, the types of issues, and the importance of security across colleges and universities, airlines, and retail stores.
Describe the precautionary measures taken by colleges and universities, airlines, and retail stores to prepare for probable issues before they arise.

Security differs from place to place depending on the type of services that take place in the protected facility. Security in retail stores involves mostly scanners, which try to identify thieves that may want to steal from the stores. The use of nonlethal weapons is common based on the fact that petty thieves are mostly involved in such activities (Wayne 2016). On the other hand, the security at airports is somehow strict because of terrorism and drug trafficking. The use of updated scanners for possible weapons is common. Security experts also use sniffer dogs that sniff out drugs and explosives, among others. The detection of security threats is common and very important for the well-being of the country., Lastly, scanners and police are common in the university. Recent cases of attacks on students prompt the authorities to take such measures.
