My goal for the final project was to walk 10,000 steps five to six days a week for four weeks. To accomplish this, I downloaded a step-tracking app on my smartphone to monitor my daily steps. I set a goal of 10,000 steps per day in the app and used it to log my progress. Each day, I took screenshots of my step count and entered the data into a spreadsheet to track my consistency. My spreadsheet shows I was able to meet my 10,000-step goal most days, with some days exceeding 12,000 or even 17,000 steps. I used different routes around my neighborhood, including the park, gym, mall, and trail, to accumulate steps. The biggest challenge was finding time between classes and other commitments, but I managed to get in my daily steps. Besides, using the app and spreadsheet helped me stay motivated and consistent with getting in over 10,000 steps almost every day for a month. There were a few days I almost fell short when I was busier than expected. In the end, I accomplished my goal of establishing and sticking to a regular walking routine by tracking my steps. This project taught me I can set and accomplish fitness goals through planning, dedication, and tracking my progress.

Your final project will then be to demonstrate how you have worked to achieve this goal as a student.  You must turn in something that proves you worked towards the goal, or at attempted to achieve the goal. This means you must show work towards the goal in some way for each of the 4 weeks of the assignment.  DO NOT just turn in the final results.  Some examples of what you would turn in may include notes you have created for a class or a test in which you got a specific grade.  Whatever you had in me has to be clear proof that you worked towards this goal, and therefore your goal cannot be something that cannot be proven.  An example would be to like school better; I cannot prove this so it would not work.   You should also consider how you will be turning in your proof to me since this is an online class.  I will accept this in person, but if you cannot get to campus, you will have to consider a goal that can be proven by something that can be turned into the assignment folder.
