Snow Removal
Snow removal is a necessary evil in the client’s mind, but adopting a new mindset in another country can be challenging. Companies that operate in a foreign country face liabilities of foreignness in the host country, but they can leverage their overwhelming resources and capabilities to overcome this inherent disadvantage (Peng, 2023). In the Philadelphia to New York City corridor, clients want to see the ground before, during, and after a snowfall. In contrast, they are used to driving on ice packs and wearing appropriate winter weather clothing to protect them from the elements in Canada.
Implementing different ideologies in other areas or countries can help increase revenue in this market. Current contractors are leaving much of the table regarding efficiency, client pricing discussions, and education (Volz, 2022). Education is a crucial part of the snow removal industry.
Challenging the culture and mindset of a client can be difficult, especially in a different country, but teaching clients can open a lot more doors. Increasing education helps to enhance innovations so clients can get the most out of their services (Silva, 2021). The goal is to illustrate the benefits of providing a safe site for employees and customers during their winter journey; efficiency and pricing are a big part of what we do as snow experts. Clients want a high-quality service at a reasonable cost.
Norman and Kevin are my cousins located around the Quebec City area. The combination of the two of them will help me develop a better understanding of the cultural differences, education opportunities, and market value in the snow removal market. Providing efficient, world-class services for a highly educated client at a reasonable cost can increase an organization’s revenue stream in a culture that has not embraced this new approach.
