Smoke Out Organizes a Fire Safety Event to Sensitize Locals
Boston, Massachusetts- Smoke Out Inc. will host a fire safety event at Oak Tree Elementary School on May 15 from 6-9 pm to sensitize locals on the need to have functional smoke detection systems.
Following a recent spate of fires in the Boston neighborhood, a discovery was made that most homes lack smoke detectors or have dysfunctional smoke detectors.
We encourage residents around Oak Tree Elementary School to attend in large numbers to benefit from crucial insights on responding to accidental fires.
The company will offer the first 50 attendees one fire alarm for each family, with more alarms available for sale to attendees who may wish to purchase one.
Notably, Rick Ramirez, the fire chief, will be present to share his family’s experience. His attendance will be crucial because his grandparents were afflicted by a fire that took the life of one of their family members, a motivator for the foundation of Smoke Out Inc.
In the cognition of the victims of recent fires, there will be a silent auction to help them get up on their feet.
“Smoke detectors save lives…period.” Lee Williams, Smoke Inc. President, expresses confidence that awareness about usage and the need to install effective smoke detectors will save lives and treasured possessions.
To enrich your fire response expertise, officials from the local fire department will grace the occasion. Their presence is significant as they will provide firsthand information about the mistakes they notice as they respond to fire incidents.
The event will include three sessions: fire safety, planning an escape route, and protecting your home and family. Each session will take 30 minutes, from 6-8.30 pm, with a 30-minute break after each session.
Finally, a surprise guest speaker will address the attendees. Light refreshments will be availed to keep you locked in. Residents around the Oak Tree Elementary School neighborhood are encouraged to attend.
