Response – Intelligence (AI) and Regenerative Agriculture

Hello,
This is a great post. From the outset, I am thrilled by how you defined your topic of interest. Indeed, firms that incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) in this age of technological advancement will gain a competitive advantage. You have also discussed how AI may be applied at the organizational level to improve operations, including automating some tasks and blockchain. I agree that despite AI’s benefits, it also poses serious challenges if not carefully applied. As you rightly put it, AI may lead to potential biases that can lead to losses and slowed accounting processes.
I encourage you to narrow your research to how AI may be used to detect fraud in accounting. This is a relatively new field that has not been researched much, and I believe you will gain crucial insights as you conduct further research. In particular, credit card fraud is one of the major challenges facing accounting practitioners due to the large number of transactions involved and the difficulty in detecting such fraud (Dayyabu et al., 2023). Incorporating AI will automatically detect fraudulent activities to safeguard individuals and businesses from financial losses.

Hello,
Your post is very insightful. You have offered a novel and unique topic that is rarely discussed. Your post is particularly interesting since you offer first-hand and experiential insights as a farmer. Regenerative agriculture is key in turning non-arable land into arable land to contain food insecurity. Further, you discussed the practices that may improve soil health, such as introducing cover crops and practicing tillage. Apart from making solid productive, a practice like introducing cover crops goes a long way to prevent soil erosion, attract pollinators, and assist in pest management.
I would like you to narrow your topic to crop rotation and diversity and how this practice can enhance soil resilience. Crop rotation and diversification improve environmental health and reduce the risk of climate change-related threats, apart from improving farm productivity (Bowles et al., 2020). Research from North America indicates that maize production is high in adverse conditions where crop diversity is practiced (Bowles et al., 2020). I would advocate for policies that encourage crop rotation and diversification to curb the impacts of stressful weather.

Response – Intelligence (AI) and Regenerative Agriculture
A topic that I have always found interesting, especially for accounting is the use of Artificial Intelligence. The intended audience of this topic is for students going into the accounting field in order to be better informed on how artificial intelligence can both help and hinder the accounting processes in this line of work.
The Idea I had for Artificial Intelligence was to give an understanding of how it can be used as a tool for Accounting. I know it isn’t the same as automation but AI can reach into other areas of accounting like automation, Blockchain, etc. There are also dangers surrounding AI in accounting as well, some aspects people do not normally think about. For example, AI generated bias, which can actually alter data and accounts that could negatively affect how the work is done. I want students to understand how Artificial Intelligence can be both a tool and roadblock when using it for accounting. That students will have to adapt to using AI in any situation as well as understanding prevention or minimizing a negative outcome when using AI in the workplace.

The topic I would like to do is regenerative agriculture. Regenerative agriculture is a management style that aims to improve soil health. Some of these practices could be through tillage, cover crops, or the types of chemicals used.
My audience would be mainly farmers, but anyone interested in agriculture could find it interesting. My short report would be informational.
I like this topic because I farm in Iowa, and we are one of the few farmers that exercise ridge till. Our practices emphasize the soil’s health, but I know we could potentially do more. I would like to learn more on this topic. I have seen some farmers in our area doing more cover crops, so I am very interested in the ideology behind some of these practices.
