In my upcoming practicum experience, I plan to apply the knowledge gained from the learning process by advocating for evidence-based practices and focusing on quality improvement initiatives. The course has highlighted the interconnectedness of health systems and the impact of health policies on patient outcomes. Understanding these dynamics will enable me to identify areas where care quality can be improved and work collaboratively with healthcare teams to implement effective interventions (WHO, 2023). Moreover, engaging in policy discussions that inform policy reforms and advocating for policies that promote quality care will be a crucial aspect of my practicum, ensuring that the care provided is not only accessible but also of high quality.

Applying the content from NR506 to upcoming clinical courses involves integrating policy knowledge into clinical practice. The latter points out the need to understand how health policies affect the clinical decision-making process that impacts patient care. Promoting quality care will be a continuous effort, seeking ways to improve care delivery and patient outcomes (Yanful et al., 2023). Collaboration with other healthcare professionals in healthcare settings will be essential in implementing quality improvement initiatives and ensuring that the care provided meets the highest standards.
