| The proposed study is quantitative research on cyberbullying. There has been a significant spike in online learning in recent years, prompting an increased time a learner spends interacting with online platforms. However, unlike physical education, young learners are at risk of accessing Internet material that was not meant for them and can be detrimental; however, the increased interaction with the Internet can also be beneficial as a learning platform for exploring important information (Whittaker & Kowalski, 2014). I have selected cyberbullying as my topic of study since it is something that a significant percentage have experienced, and it will still be here afterward.
Cyberbullying has the same features as traditional, in-person bullying: it occurs more than once, involves psychological abuse, and is deliberate (Dehue et al., 2021). Cyberbullies, unlike traditional bullies, are frequently anonymous. According to the Social Identity Model of Deindividuation (SIDE), visual anonymity can increase the social influence of group norms and depersonalization. Another significant distinction is the absence of physical and social signs, implying that cyberbullies are not confronted personally with how their victims react and the consequences of the harassment. A third significant distinction is that most parents are inexperienced with modern communication tools and, as a result, are likely ignorant of their child engaging in cyberbullying or being cyberbullied. A recent study has found that 27 percent of children aged 8 to 15 have engaged in name-calling at least once physically, and 41 percent have been called names at least once on the Internet. Among youth aged 10 to 19, 4 percent to 15 percent were bullied physically, with the ratio increasing with age, and 3 percent to 25 percent had experienced bullying at least once over the Internet, which is a more significant number (Dehue et al., 2021). Microsoft network is the most commonly used medium for bullying.
Other types of cyberbullying include sending anonymous threatening emails, hacking, posting someone’s picture on the Internet without their consent, delivering computer network viruses or bombs, and sending anonymous threatening emails. Other studies have found that bullies occasionally send threats involving deadly violence, as well as sexually explicit texts. Cyberbullying should have to be treated as a significant health issue. According to recent studies, being cyberbullied can lead to substantial psychological, physical, and social problems, such as significant depressive symptoms and stress (Talasila, 2021). Research has observed that children with depressive symptoms experience more emotional stress due to cyberbullying than children with more minor or no depressive symptoms.

|I will use online polls and surveys to identify most online learners and most social platforms to do the interviews.|

|It is easier since our target population is online learners, and most spend a significant amount of time on the platform.|

The survey will include an option to submit their preferred social media platform where the conduction of the interview will occur.|

|The study topic benefits my choice of career field since, with the incorporation of technology in almost all working spaces, both as a practitioner and an online user, I will also have more knowledge on how to deal with cyberbullying.|
