Targeting university-enrolled students, the research explores the differences in mental health care consumption among transgender, gender-non-conforming, and cisgender populations. Using quantitative analysis and regression models, Shelp-Peck (2023) postulated that the level of consumption of mental health care services and resources is lower in the transgender and gender non-conforming populations than in heterosexual populations.
