  • Use of digital systems to provide mental healthcare services targeting racial and ethnic minority groups
  • Cultural and interdisciplinary collaborative competency training integrated within the practice settings

Collaborators and Pilot Study

Collaboration within the clinical site with other nursing and clinical staff improves the chances of success for DNP projects (Bradley et al., 2023). The implementation of the DNP project will seek to collaborate with nurses and mental healthcare specialists at the Columbus Spring East and OSU Medical Center DODD Hall clinics, the DNP project supervisor and advisor, and the DNP-student nurse preceptor. The nurses and other mental health specialists will assist in participant recruitment, education, data collection, and the implementation of the proposed intervention. The preceptor will direct the advanced roles as a DNP-prepared nurse while the DNP project supervisor and advisor will act as an advisor to ensure the DNP project aligns with set clinical protocols and ethics of practice and research in mental healthcare settings. A pilot study is not applicable as the project will be directly integrated and implemented within the current practice site.
