I am a twenty-five-year-old gentleman living in Peoria Heights, Illinois, and this has been my native home from childhood to date. The sight of children makes me nostalgic for my earlier days. My parents were neither the possessive nor the paranoid type. They would allow me to mingle with my peers. These occasions were graced by various outdoor activities such as hide and seek, freeze tag, and playing marbles. The nature of the games often led to tattered, dirt, and dust-laden clothing. A transition from elementary school to junior high school and later high school significantly severed my relationship with neighborhood children.

Upon graduating from high school, I explored legion ordinary jobs before deciding to become a clinical assistant. I underwent rigorous on-the-job training, during which my responsibilities were laid out. I worked in concert with physicians to ensure the well-being of patients. During this period, I learned interpersonal skills: communication, listening, patience, and etiquette. I also learned good inventory management practices. Furthermore, I was familiarized with basic activities such as preparing patients for radiological procedures and collecting laboratory specimens.

Currently, I am pursuing an associate degree in Healthcare Administration. My previous experience as a clinical assistant motivated me to venture into my current career path. I want to actively participate in decision-making and policy formation (Elder & Sanderson, 2018). This is key to the smooth running of healthcare facilities. I am motivated daily and aim at scoring good grades and an excellent grade point average.

Reflection

I experienced three challenges when writing my life story. The first challenge was proper word selection and a practical summary. Picking the best words to summarize my life was not easy. Secondly, organizing my thoughts and words to provide a consistent flow of ideas was challenging. The last challenge was structuring my sentences to ensure subject-verb agreement.

A Personal Writing Plan

I need to focus on four written communication areas to improve my writing skills. It is essential to improve on sentence structure. This will ensure that my work is coherent and concise. Besides, I need to learn proper thought organization to ensure the systemic flow of ideas. The third area is selecting the best wordings because this will help to eliminate verbosely. The last aspect is proper punctuation and grammar.
