Peer Responses – Using the Walden Library

Response 2

Hi,

This is a great post. I appreciate your insights on the benefits of telehealth appointments for patients with schizophrenia and the positive impact on medication adherence and overall patient outcomes. It is great to hear that remote interventions like medication reminders and educational messages have shown improvements in patient quality of life, as mentioned in the study you referenced (Wong et al., 2020).

I agree that the Walden Library site is user-friendly and offers useful search criteria for refining results. It is an excellent resource for school research, and I also recommend it to my classmates. Additionally, Google Scholar is another valuable platform for finding scholarly articles and expanding research. Utilizing your local library site in Lexington, Kentucky, can provide access to more specific resources and potentially local studies or information relevant to your area (Milstead & Short, 2019). Additionally, Wong et al. (2020) note that leveraging these resources can enhance our understanding of schizophrenia management and explore innovative strategies for improving patient care and outcomes.

Response 2

Hi,

It’s great to hear that you find the journals available through Walden to be detailed and valuable research resources. An overwhelming amount of information can be daunting at times. One strategy that has worked for me is to start with a specific research question or topic and then narrow down my search using filters such as publication date, study design, or particular keywords related to my research focus. This helps in finding more relevant and focused articles (Walden University Library, n.d.). To understand complex articles, it can be helpful to read the abstract and introduction first to get a general idea of the study’s purpose and main findings. If you still find it challenging to understand, you can consider contacting your professors or colleagues for clarification or discussing the article in a study group. Sometimes, breaking down the article into smaller sections and summarizing each part can aid comprehension (Milstead & Short, 2019). While Walden Library is a valuable resource, additional databases or resources like professional organizations, government websites, or subject-specific databases may provide different perspectives and further enhance your research.

You may already have some favorite online resources and databases that you use or have found useful in the past. For this discussion, you will explore databases available through the Walden Library.
