This is a great post! I agree with you. Genetics make some individuals more susceptible to certain diseases, such as rhabdomyolysis. Your analysis of the disease provides clear insights into how several factors, such as genetics, the environment, and other personal characteristics, collectively predispose a person to health disorders. As you have presented, genetics is the major factor in the development of rhabdomyolysis. Besides genetics or family history, the development of rhabdomyolysis can be influenced by various factors, such as certain infections, drugs, exposure to toxins, and extreme exercise. Notable, having extreme exercises or suffering injuries with a risk of muscle trauma can also lead to the development of rhabdomyolysis. Prolonged immobilization has been noted to induce rhabdomyolysis (Seok et al., 2020) further. Rhabdomyolysis is also linked to the development of other diseases such as acute kidney injury with prolonged immobilization, especially in obese women (Sakai et al., 2020). This further shows how several factors, including genetics, gender, level of physical activity, and health status, can influence the development of health conditions.
