Nursing Shortage
Two interventions have been proposed to tackle the problem of nursing shortage. The first intervention is to increase the number and capacity of nursing training facilities (Abhicharttibutra et al., 2017). The first objective of the intervention is to ensure that at least two nursing training institutions are established in each State. This will increase the number of nurses because more facilities will accommodate more applicants and reduce the number of rejections. The second objective of the intervention is to ensure that ten more classrooms are constructed in training facilities already established in each State. Increasing the number of classrooms will expand the capacity of the training facilities. The third objective is to ensure that the nursing training facilities in the country can accommodate all qualified applicants seeking to be enrolled annually. This will reduce the number of applicants turned away annually due to a lack of resources. Therefore, more applicants will be registered, increasing the number of trained nurses.
The second intervention is providing fellowships to graduates and retaining them in the institutions to solve the problem of the shortage of preceptors. The objective of the intervention is to ensure that all nursing training institutions in all states provide at least five fellowships to their graduates and retain them. Providing connections enables the graduates to act as instructors while advancing their studies. This will help to solve the problem of preceptor shortages.

The proposed project advocates for autonomy and social justice. Freedom will be upheld by allowing applicants to decide which institutions they want to join. Their choices will be respected, and no applicants will be rejected. Furthermore, when providing fellowships, the graduates will decide on their desire to stay.
Social justice will be upheld by ensuring that the training facilities are built in all states. Regardless of their cultural backgrounds, members of all shapes can enroll in the training facilities nationwide. Furthermore, all nursing training facilities in all forms will offer fellowships to their graduates. This will ensure fairness in the award of the scholarships because graduates from all states and diverse cultural backgrounds can benefit.
