Identify and describe the sample, including demographics, in the studies chosen in W2 Assignment 2	This study was conducted in Seoul, South Korea. The samples included 970 female nurses from 47 different nursing units. The units ranged from oncology to intensive care.	The sample of this research included thirteen migrants from Nigeria who resided in the United States. They were over the age of 18 and were able to write and read English.
Discuss the steps of the data collection process used in the studies	There were five groups: outpatient, OR, ICU, oncology, and general. They also divided the perpetrator into five groups: the patient, family, other nurses, managers, and physicians. Then, they explored the types of violence and nursing units by the number of nurses who experienced violence according to the perpetrator.	There was two focus group that was set up. Two weeks before the first meeting, they were given cameras to take photos of what they considered healthy and unhealthy. Two days before the meeting, they were asked to choose four pictures.

Independent: Workplace violence

Dependent: types of violence, distribution of perpetrators, relationships of work demands, trust, and justice.

Identify the sampling design.	Convenience sampling was used in this study.	Word of mouth was used for this study, also known as the snowball method.
Describe the instrument, tool, or survey used in each article.	There was a survey questionnaire called the Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire.	Cameras were used to take pictures of healthy and unhealthy eating habits. Also, they used a focus group to discuss the photos, health issues, and concerns.
Summarize the discussion about the validity and reliability of each article’s instruments, tools, or surveys.	The COPOQ was translated into the Korean language to be evaluated by office workers. They translated the questionnaire back into English, and the results were the same.	The photovoice approach was used in prior migrant group studies. They learned about topics like family planning and cardiovascular issues.
Identify each article’s legal and ethical concerns, including informed consent and IRB approval.	The IRB approved this study. This particular was done voluntarily with a sealed envelope that contained the questionnaire. The data collected did not include any identifying information.	The IRB approved this study, and an informed consent was signed. They also explained the study to interested individuals. They also instructed them to ask for permission before taking anyone’s picture.
