I reached my weekly objectives with the research I’ve done from the past week and this week. The past week, I learned about different theory models, and this week, I built on that knowledge as well. I wouldn’t say that any of my values were challenged. However, they were reinforced. Through research, I found that I identify more with Watson’s theory of caring, and that belief will stand true for me. I feel as though it’s always important to allow the patient to participate in their care. Whether it’s utilizing holistic care or simply listening and communicating with them in a manner of understanding and respect. Every patient deserves that level of care regardless of the situation.
