The article identified has focused on deviant behavior in youths within school settings. As such, it has been identified that such individuals indulge in various activities. The specific characteristics include drug use, bullying, and social media addiction. These were the three major deviant behaviors the youths identified as involved in that hindered their growth and development. These changes lean more towards nurture than nature as these are more sociological problems than biological (Karmanova et al., 2014). This is because these are issues that are not tied to the biological make-up of the youths but rather their upbringing. Drug use is brought about by poor parenting allowing access to drugs which often leads to drug abuse. When teenagers are not well-parented on the dangers of drug use and limited drug access, peer pressure and other forces are bound to make them engage in the behavior. In social media addiction, the lack of parental control or supervision over what their children are accessing online is a major risk that makes most of them addicted to these sites (Hanimoglu, 2018). Bullying is often a practice copied from the surroundings such that kids whose families are violent often become bullies. It is a sociological problem, not a social one.
