Moon Journal Week 1
First Entry: Tuesday, September 17th at 8:30 pm
Thoughts: The moon is so bright tonight, and everything looks silverish. It brings me back to the days when we used to lay on the grass at night and look at the stars and dream. It is a rather poetic and sentimental feeling, as if the moon has memories of moments that have occurred in the past.
Questions: What goals did I have as a child, and which do I no longer remember?
Is there any truth in the story that the moon knows all our past and secrets?
Second Entry: Wednesday, September 18th at 9:13 pm
Thoughts: Tonight, the sky is partly cloudy, and the moon is partially hidden, making the environment rather eerie. This makes me wonder how many times we only consider certain aspects of what is actually present in reality. It also gives me thoughts associated with reflection and curiosity about the unknown and the behind-the-scenes of life.
Questions: What aspects of my personality am I not revealing to other people?
In what way do the clouds represent challenges in my life?
What does it imply to look at things in a partial view?
Third Entry: Thursday, September 19th 6:00 pm
Thoughts: It is still early; the moon is only a sliver in the sky, painted with the setting sun. This is like a new phase of life, an inevitable change with every phase of life. I feel optimistic when looking at it as if it is saying, “Let’s go and travel the world again.”
Questions: What new beginnings am I prepared to accept?
What is the meaning of the crescent shape, and how does it signify potential?
What kind of adventures do I want to have relating to the moon?

Question
My professor wants us to create a moon journal she wants us to take pictures of the moon about 3-4times a week and document the date and time and talk about what the moon reminds me of, what it makes me think of, how it makes me feel. This week is about focusing on feelings and thoughts as I gaze at the moon. Does it make you wonder about things? Does it bring forth memories, Do you have some questions about it? She said No answers to the questions are needed but I do need to jot down some questions/my thoughts down in my journal regarding each image I took of the moon. It doesn’t have to be a long response either but I do need some questions and thoughts about each picture separately. For each image I put the date and time that I took the photo. WRITE YOUR THOUGHTS AND COME UP WITH QUESTIONS FOR EACH PHOTO SEPARATELY. DO NOT PUT THE SAME THOUGHTS AND QUESTIONS FOR EACH PHOTO; IT HAS TO BE DONE SEPARATELY. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR EACH PHOTO INDIVIDUALLY.
