Staffing and Roles

Currently, the team has six members, one team leader, a project manager, and four sales representatives. In response to our deadline date moving ahead by two weeks, I have delegated the tasks to accomplish our current project ahead of the deadline. The team will achieve the above by dividing the new markets we intend to pursue among the sales representatives. The representatives will further enhance communication in their different departments to ensure that all people in the company accept the end product.

Each representative will market our company’s products in a different area from the list of the new markets the company intends to pursue. When not overwhelmed by their duties, the project manager and the team leader will assist in marketing the products and communicating with the different departments about the project to ensure all people in the company are proud of the final results (Ryan, 2016). Suppose each sales representative finds four new markets daily. The team will surpass the deadline’s goal and be ahead of schedule.

Resources

The most significant resource required to accomplish the project is the team members. The team has enough members to reach the group’s objective. As mentioned earlier, the team only needs to delegate work slightly different from the norm to find new markets for our company’s products. Whereas each sales representative previously had to pursue a single new market daily, they will now seek three new markets every day. One of my primary focuses is to ensure that our customer satisfaction is not corrupted by the team, although the deadline has been shortened. As a result, the team will not skip any process during their endeavors (Ryan, 2016). Compromising our customers’ expectations could cause a bad image of our brand.

Possible Costs

Some of the resulting costs of the shortened deadline include budgeting in at least eight hours of overtime per person on the team per week. In addition, I feel the company should offer discounts to new clients to lure them more into developing interest and purchasing our products (Charlesworth, 2021). By so doing, the team members will be able to find new markets within the set deadline.

Leveraging Problem-Solving

Problem-solving is a critical teamwork aspect in every company or business, mainly when it concerns accomplishing new projects in time. Problem-solving will help find solutions to any problems and move forward by carefully framing the issue and outlining its boundaries. I have learned that group problem-solving can be leveraged and applied in new projects (Charlesworth, 2021). Such techniques will result in satisfaction and high teamwork, bringing along flow in the team and adding mutual understanding.

Communicating

To earn my team’s buy-in, I must effectively communicate the new requirements to them. Effective communication will be critical since it will allow constant updates on every particular progress without disregarding any details. Besides, it is significant for all team members to learn how to be effective communicators and good listeners to ensure that all inputs by every team member are appreciated (Ryan, 2016). Respect is crucial as it guarantees team building and fosters trust among team members. Conversely, effective communication will ensure that the team’s environment has all the necessary ingredients for harmony.
