The success of the initially planned method may be jeopardized if the individual does not grasp the language being used for intervention or if there are cultural nuances affecting communication. In such a case, integrating interpreters or cultural liaisons would be critical to facilitating efficient communication. This modification ensures that the person experiencing a mental health crisis receives adequate care, understanding, and direction by the concepts of cultural competency and accessibility in mental health crisis response.
