I chose the University of Notre Dame. Notre Dame has its licensing department and is strict with who it will license. They strive for authenticity and perfection on products bearing the University of Notre Dame Logo, Trademark, Name or colors. In 2014, Notre Dame signed a deal with Under Armour to produce all the uniforms for the athletic department. The new deal replaced a long-standing deal with Adidas. One of the ideas I would propose would be to use some of the money brought in through the partner companies to fund scholarships for prospective students that cannot afford to attend the school. I think that is important for the reputation of the University. Helping others should be at the forefront of their existence at a Catholic University. Helping a person attend such a prestigious University would be a step in the right direction. There are companies all over the world that are willing to assist in money toward scholarships. Allying with Burger King or McDonald’s could be beneficial. I know fast food is not healthy, but fast food is almost a common meal for college kids. Enter into a deal with them to help fund a scholarship, and in return, they can put the Notre Dame likeness on cups or fries or even make toys for happy meals. There is always an option for a way to get the Notre Dame likeness on more merchandise in exchange for helping the community.
