Learning Standards

Learning Standards

Developmentally Appropriate Early Childhood Education discussed how children learn by experience. They can do a particular activity and lesson when they can experience it. They learned from their teacher and their peers also. It is an effective way of teaching when they feel like they are only playing but are unaware that they are already learning with that kind of activity. It also develops their social interaction with other students, which may be the source of learning. It also develops their self-esteem and independence towards work. But the three main points here that I will give particular emphasis on are as follows:

These are the advantages of Experiential learning.

1. Ability to immediately apply knowledge.

As students, it is tough to sit at a desk and listen to what teachers say in front. Even though there are visuals that we can rely on but it is more fun and exciting when we are in the actual learning process. It is more realistic and easy for the learner to understand and apply the learning because they do a specific task. They can evaluate and give conclusions on what they are learning about and apply it to themselves or other things that come their way. A specific task may become their best example or model for other lessons they might encounter. It is easy for them to remember because they do it in real time.

2. Promotion of teamwork and communication skills.

With this learning process, we must develop our communication skills to build a strong foundation of knowledge. Students also learn how to interact and brainstorm to have a better output. They also practice teamwork and cooperation that can be used outside the school. Learning is not about yourself. It is about how you apply and improve for better output and learning.

3. Accomplishments are obvious

As they experience the knowledge, the students become more interested in their studies. Teachers noticed that after several trials and activities, students got a high score or a more profound understanding that even if you asked them again and again, repeatedly, they would get what they experienced in that particular activity. So, the outcome basis of the learning process is evident in a way that they can remember the steps or formula being taught.
