Journal- Data Analysis Plan
The study aims at investigating adoption and how genetics and environmental factors impact academic achievement in adoptive children. The study is quantitative and conducted in an online survey using questionnaires. Data from participants is obtained from qualtrics.com. The data obtained will be analyzed quantitatively using SPSS software. Pearson Correlation is the central analysis procedure that will be the basis of drawing inferences relating to the topic under study. The correlation analysis is appropriate for the study since it will show the strength of the association between the response variable (academic achievement) and the explanatory variables (genetic relation and environment where raised). According to Newman (2016), correlation analysis tells the researcher the strength and direction of the relationship between the variables, which provides information about how the variables affect each other. The strength and direction of correlation between the response variable and different sub-variables that fall under the explanatory variables will be the basis of drawing conclusions.
Besides correlation test analysis, descriptive statistics will also inform inferences from the study. The descriptive statistics will tell the proportion of participants raised by foster or biological parents, the most applied parenting styles, the type of family the participants were brought up in, the neighborhoods, the type of schools attended by the participants, and other factors. The descriptive statistics that will be analyzed are mainly frequencies and percentages. As Field (2018) suggests, a multiple regression analysis can also be used to confirm the results and nature of the relationship obtained from the Pearson Correlation. It will also be suitable for the study in a model where;
Y= B0 + B1X1 + B2X2 + B3X3
where; Y= Academic achievement
Bis = Coefficients of Correlation of Response Variables
Xis = Measures of Response Variables

Question
5-3 Journal: Data Analysis Plan
In a journal assignment, briefly describe the materials for your research project and discuss how you plan to analyze the data you collect. Specifically, what statistical test(s) will you use? This journal assignment is a great opportunity to have your instructor provide feedback regarding your data analysis plan so as to ensure you are on the right track.

You’ll be able to view the survey and then if you click data an analysis, you’ll be able to view the responses from participants that have answered my survey.
I also messaged my instructor for clarification on the assignment and she stated
“You need to come up with a plan to run statistical tests to analyze your survey data to answer your research question. So will you run a t-test, correlation, multiple regression, or what, and why is that test the most appropriate test to use?”
PLEASE keep
That in mind ^^^^^^^^^
