Reflection One

My favorite space is the library; it fosters a calm learning atmosphere without distractions. The library makes me feel relaxed and helps me focus on my studies. When in the library, I am overwhelmed with thoughts of the power of the authors of all the books around me. The library is a quiet, calm, impressive, and inspiring space for effective learning. It is my favorite space since it enhances concentration on the learning material without distractions, and its organization reflects a beautiful scene (Gryphon House Books, 2011).

Reflection two

I want my students to practically participate in the learning activities through hands-on activities and develop effective teamwork skills. My critical goal is for the students to learn through experimental activities and fully engage in the activities. Also, my focus is on helping the students develop social skills in addition to their academic skills.

Slide 21: The children can use the artifacts to count the number of items in each presentation to confirm whether it aligns with the number presenting it.

Slide 22: Students use the number chips to arrange the numbers in ascending order.

Slide 23: Students develop modeling skills when creating the artifact. Also, students build creativity skills based on the combination of the colors.

Slide 24: The classroom setting reflects the real things outside the art. The tree art resembles a natural tree, where people sit beneath it for shadow. Also, the art of the birds and butterflies shows a connection between the plants and animals.

Slide 25: Students might be inspired by a ride on a boat. The artifact resembles a boat on the water, with the blue paper illustrating water.

Slide 26: Children might have object-magnifying knowledge illustrated by the lens. The pumpkin would be associated with a particular culture, and the teacher would translate and elaborate about the pumpkin. The teacher would ask the students who have consumed a pumpkin to integrate their lived experiences.

Slide 27: I would demonstrate how to build each object for the students to connect and associate their creations with what they observed. Also, I would project objects that I request them to construct.

Slide 28: The teacher provides different materials in a sensory table since students have different preferences; thus, giving them numerous materials allows them to choose and work with what they prefer.

Slide 29: Teachers can foster a sense of belonging by giving all students equal opportunities to participate in class activities or discussions. The teacher can welcome students into the class by saying hello and mentioning their names, which makes them feel acknowledged. Also, teachers can encourage students to respect and appreciate their peers’ different cultures and abilities.

Slide 30: Digital literacy can be incorporated into the classroom by exposing the students to videos demonstrating the learning concepts. The teacher can also encourage the students to research information from online sources.

Slide 31: The artifact could be placed in the art center. The paper contains steps for making a playdough tower, which requires modeling skills incorporated into an art activity.

Slide 32: The child is trying to hit on something. The image is a reflection of an art center.
