Understanding Research Alignment and Its Critical Importance

Research alignment is used to describe a situation when any research project makes sure that coherent integration and consistency amongst all components of its research exist. Moreover, the researchers could have discussed their reflexivity and potential biases in detail, which Creswell and Poth (2018) deem an essential part of qualitative research. To improve the credibility of the research, the researchers could use member checking or other validation techniques.

The study will also score high on clarity with the presentation of theoretical frameworks guiding the study and limitations discussed in clearer terms. Strengthening the link of the findings to a more general educational theory can enhance the study’s contribution to the field. Though it has limitations, the study nevertheless displays a commendable alignment and sheds light on teacher perceptions of professional development programs. Overall, it would be a valuable addition to educational research literature.
