The Steps of Intentional Planning Evident In the Lesson

The steps of intentional planning were evident in the goal definition. This helped the teacher to stick to the goal attainment. It was also evident in the teaching method that the teacher utilized, which was very effective for kids at this age and led to success. Typically, through planning, the teacher could teach appropriately and attain the intended goal. Additionally, the teacher has been able to relate well with the children, which again expounds the essence of intentional planning. The students seemed to relate well with the instructor based on how they were free to answer the questions. According to Schut et al. (2020), teaching takes place via human interactions, and as such, the features of the instructor’s relations and associations with students could make a significant impact on the type of learning environment they generate.

How the Lesson Was Developmentally Appropriate For the Children

The lesson was developmentally appropriate for this group of children. Typically, the teaching approach has shifted the concentration from the instructor to the students. Step 1: Choose one of the videos below to watch a lesson being taught to a group of children. As you are watching the video, record each of the parts of the lesson you see in the video on the Lesson Plan Template section of the Week 2 Assignment Template. Use the Early Childhood and Child Development Lesson Plan Handbook (Links to an external site.) as a guide to help you determine where to place things within the template. For example, if you observe the teacher activating the children’s prior knowledge, you will record what the teacher does to activate their prior knowledge in the introduction section of the lesson plan template.
