Discussion – Educational Research
The main purpose of educational research is to investigate existing issues in the education system and, therefore, provide relevant solutions to the issues in the field of education. Creswell (2019) asserts that educational research plays a crucial in the overall development of pedagogy, learning programs, and policy formulation. This is the process that helps improve the existing educational system to align with the educational goals and improve training programs. This paper will review chapters 1-4 of the book Educational Research.
Something Relevant that I have learned about Educational Research
After reviewing the chapters in the book, I learned that educators strive to continue improving the education system by conducting educational research to add to the existing knowledge (Creswell, 2019). It helps design the curriculum by determining the content to be taught, as well as organizing, planning, and evaluating processes. Another relevant information from the chapters is that educational research contributes to economic development (Creswell, 2019). For people to strive economically, they must be subjected to a competitive education system that addresses their educational goals and future needs. Furthermore, educational research can either be qualitative or quantitative. However, each research aims to address the existing issues by following a sequential process that helps in the data collection process.

Some of the questions I have regarding Educational Research include:
- Who funds educational research?
- How do you design and validate the instruments used for educational research?
- How do researchers measure the success of academic integrity interventions?
- How does one synthesize existing knowledge for educational leadership literature review?
