However, she feels strongly about the issue, revealing that gender inequity manifests in the form of poor healthcare needs, given that the needs of women are more complex than those of men.

In general, this article aims at highlighting the need for gender equity in prisons. The author suggests a strong support system that can help women re-enter society by providing trauma services and educational and employment opportunities.
