The event will include various fun activities enabling you to communicate with your child. The event will begin at 6 pm with a family talent show, scavenger hunt, and storytime. All families must actively participate in all activities, so come prepared for a busy day.

Introductory Welcome Speech
Good afternoon, parents and children,
I am pleased to welcome you to the night watch experience. I assure you that this will be the best stepping stone to establishing food communication between the child professional, myself, and you as parents. The event focuses on developing trusting relationships between parents and children and encouraging collaboration to create a conducive environment where children can express themselves freely. This event will also allow you to know your child better based on how they communicate during different activities so that you can collaborate with the child’s professional to meet your child’s specific needs. Activities such as scavenger hunts and story time will allow you to identify your child’s strengths and skills to create the best approach to improve them (Cubey, 2012). The event will also allow you to monitor your child’s interaction with other children, enabling you to identify the child’s communication pattern and engagement within a community.

Family Participation Activities
According to Bardosono et al. (2017), family participation activities should encourage collaboration between family members to create a bonding experience. As mentioned earlier, the main activities in this event will be storytime, scavenger hunts, and a family talent show. Parents will select a book with their children from the collection we have provided for the storytime activity. Each book will have several short stories that can be read within 1 hour. The families will then select the level their child will be narrating and guide their child on the best way to narrate the story to make it more exciting to listeners. Children must use dramatic expressions when telling the story and change their tone to portray different characters. The narrations will be timed to avoid spending too much time on one level. Parents will also discuss the talent they want to showcase to other families in the event with their children. They will help them create the best performance and encourage them not to be shy because they will present their talent in front of an audience of other parents and children.
The scavenger hunt will require collaboration between the parents and their children to complete different scavenger hunt activities. The first activity will explore the senses of touch, smell, and taste. Children will be blindfolded, and their parents will help them touch, smell or taste something, and the child can then identify what it is. Parents may provide clues to help the child identify the item faster and remove the blindfold so that they can see what it is if the child cannot remember the article. The second activity will be one of the things I love: a scavenger hunt. Parents will be given a list of clues on what children love, such as something that tastes good, something they use a lot, etc. They will read these questions, and the child can respond with the most appropriate answer. For instance, a parent may ask the child to state something that tastes good, and they can respond by either mentioning candy or honey.
How the Learning Environment Will Be Set Up
The learning environment will include child professional assessments and children’s and parents’ activities. The parent’s activities will be combined with the children’s activities because parents will assist children in completing the assigned tasks, such as narrating stories and showcasing their talent. The child professional will evaluate the children’s performance in the activities and give their feedback to the child’s parents, including a recommendation on areas of improvement. For instance, if a child professional identifies that a child’s talent can be nurtured into something extraordinary, they may discuss with the parent how to promote the talent and encourage the child to improve on weak areas.
