It also has access to Lexi-comp, which helps with information on drug interactions and medical calculators. The other clinical resource you describe to have utilized during the clinical rotations and practices is Epocrates, which is very visual and even helps in medications and diagnosis. Just like up-to-date, it also functions in similar ways. Clinical resources help providers make decisions based on the most up-to-date evidence-based research. In this current age and era, a lot of clinical resources are easily accessible on smartphone apps, and some are even linked up in the patient chart systems for easy access. Medical knowledge is rapidly expanding and updating; therefore, clinicians need resources that have the latest scientific evidence accessible in a timely manner (Jebraeily et al., 2017).

The clinical resources that I use a lot at my clinical rotations and I have found to be most helpful so far are UpToDate and Epocrates. UpToDate is an excellent resource for clinicians and always provides access to current and relevant information for clinical practice. It helps with differential diagnosis and information on the best medications to prescribe based on the diagnosis ruled in. It also has access to Lexi-comp, which helps with information on drug interactions and medical calculators. To get the best experience on this app, it is better to get the paid version, which gives full access to everything (UpToDate, 2021).

Epocrates is the second clinical resource that I like to use during clinical rotations. It is very visual, and even when looking at the medications, it shows whether they are scored or not. It also provides all the resources available in UpToDate. I like to use it when I am providing patient education because of the many visuals that it has that help to easily explain clinical matters to a patient in a simple way.
