Most of my first 25 hours of practicum were focused on completing DNP IV. As part of completing my project and the student outcomes, I completed the CITI modules, which improved my research skills, including analysis and application of ethics in mental health research. I also collaborated with the IT department to develop an online mental health clinic. At the same time, I worked on completing my data collection paper while leading a team of care providers in providing culturally competent mental health care: Clinical Log 11. | |

My 25 practicum hours have been a great learning experience, where I have significantly improved my technical and conceptual skills, cultural competency, and leadership of diverse teams caring for a diverse patient population. I have gained new insights into ethics and mental health research and the critical value of cultural competence in caring for diverse patients in mental health care. | |
