Chakras
An individual consists of five bodies of consciousness. Vital energy or life force must remain in balance. Further, in this body, there are parts where the vital energy is felt dominantly called chakras. Therefore, a chakra is an energy “wheel”, and there are seven main types of chakras: the crown chakra, third eye or brow chakra, throat chakra, heart chakra, Solar plexus chakra, sacral chakra, and root chakra. Chakras are significant because of their impacts on morphogenetic fields surrounding organs in the body. Accordingly, emotions, organs, and chakras are interconnected. The correlation between chakras and emotions and organs is evident. Various chakras relate to various organs. For instance, the third eye or brow chakra is associated with the pituitary gland, midbrain, and hindbrain. On the basis of emotion, this chakra is associated with intuition, confusion, dreams, and clarity. When people are confused, they tend to rub their foreheads where the chakra is located, and when they have intuitive thoughts, the feelings are felt in the forehead region, illustrating the correlation of organs and emotions to the chakras.
Under certain circumstances, chakras can get out of balance, and therefore chakra medicine can be applied. When a chakra is affected, impacts can be felt on emotions and organs. For instance, when I was once heartbroken, my heart chakra was at an imbalance due to energy flow. I felt physical pain as I felt my heartbreaking. Additionally, as the feeling of love dissipated, feelings of sadness and depression set in. To restore balance, I carried activities that I loved, which would cheer me up. Eventually, once my emotions were changed, the pain was lost, and the balance in my chakra was restored.
